Nel cuore di queste incerte acque del presente, dove le strade sembrano smarrirsi nel nulla, il cinema continua a emergere come una bussola affidabile, una guida attraverso le turbolenze di un mondo in perenne subbuglio.
Sono felice di presentare il trailer che ho realizzato anche quest'anno per Karawan Fest: Geografie Emotive, un festival che ha catturato il cuore di tanti spettatori. È stata un'edizione straordinaria dell'11° Karawan Fest.
Ogni sera, il festival è stato seguito da molte persone nella cornice di Parco Sangalli a Tor Pignattara Roma.
Il festival è composto da sette opere di altrettanti autori e autrici, selezionate per il Concorso Lungometraggi, seguendo il tema di quest'anno. Queste opere provengono da luoghi lontani come Hong Kong, Germania, Francia, Bangladesh, Ucraina, Iran e Marocco. Ognuna di esse offre uno sguardo profondo sulla condizione umana, spinta dagli eventi a reinventarsi in un mondo in costante evoluzione.
Il nucleo familiare emerge al centro di spinte centrifughe, partenze, ritorni, apparentemente indissolubile nella forza dei legami che accompagnano i protagonisti di queste storie verso la fine dell'innocenza, la scoperta della verità o la realizzazione dei propri sogni. Il tratto che le accomuna tutte è la leggerezza, come la intendeva Calvino, quel passo particolare che ci consente di procedere "senza macigni sul cuore", aperti all'incontro e alla possibilità di sorridere ancora, insieme.
Ho realizzato il trailer del festival con il seguente approccio: ho integrato le immagini dei film in un viaggio senza meta attraverso le strade del mondo. Cercando di immergere in chi osserva l'esperienza di passeggiate che non portano da nessuna parte, ma che sono altrettanto affascinanti, se non di più, proprio per questa mancanza di destinazione.
Desidero ringraziare tutto il festival, in particolare Carla Ottoni ed Alessandro Zoppo. Inoltre, un caloroso ringraziamento a Riccardo Gola che ha disegnato il bellissimo manifesto che cattura perfettamente lo spirito del Karawan Fest: Geografie Emotive.
Certamente Karawan come sempre è riuscito nell'intento, ad ispirare e a far riflettere e a diffondere la gioia del cinema.

In the heart of these uncertain waters of the present, where the roads seem to disappear into thin air, cinema continues to emerge as a reliable compass, a guide through the turbulence of a world in perpetual turmoil.
I am happy to present the trailer that I made again this year for Karawan Fest: Emotional Geographies, a festival that has captured the hearts of many spectators. It was an extraordinary edition of the 11th Karawan Fest.
Every evening, the festival was followed by many people in the setting of Parco Sangalli in Tor Pignattara Rome.
The festival is made up of seven works by as many authors, selected for the Feature Film Competition, following this year's theme. These works come from places as far away as Hong Kong, Germany, France, Bangladesh, Ukraine, Iran and Morocco. Each of them offers a profound look at the human condition, driven by events to reinvent itself in a constantly evolving world.
The family unit emerges at the center of centrifugal forces, departures, returns, apparently indissoluble in the strength of the bonds that accompany the protagonists of these stories towards the end of innocence, the discovery of the truth or the realization of their dreams. The trait that unites them all is lightness, as Calvino intended it, that particular step that allows us to proceed "without boulders on the heart", open to meeting and the possibility of smiling again, together.
I made the festival trailer with the following approach: I integrated images from the films into an aimless journey through the streets of the world. Trying to immerse the observer in the experience of walks that lead nowhere, but which are just as fascinating, if not more so, precisely because of this lack of destination.

Karawan certainly succeeded as always in his intent, to inspire and make people reflect and to spread the joy of cinema.
